本教材由北京语言大学富有汉晤语音教学经验的资深教师编写。包括“ 基础篇”、“提高篇”两册。“基础篇”主要讲解语音常识，共9课；“提高篇”以分辨难音为主，包括汉语语音要素的难点，共11课。
本教材吸收最新的声调教学科研成果，突出声调教学，真正使声调教学贯穿于语音教学的全过程，可以帮助学习者在短期内掌握正确的汉语发音方法，更快、更扎实地学好汉语语音。
